On Monday, one of the best specialists in the country, Robert Gunn, announced a commitment to Clemson.
The kicker/punter from Seminole, Florida, also had offers from Texas, FAU, Army, Navy and Air Force. However, after getting an offer from Clemson over the weekend, it did not take long for Gunn to pull the trigger on an announcement.
According to Kicking World, who has worked with Gunn since he was in eighth grade, he is “the most scholarship-ready kicker/punter and the best 2022 kicker in the country.”
However, that wasn’t the only news on the recruiting front for Clemson and specialists on Monday. Jackson Smith, a 5-star 2022 punter, picked up an offer from the Tigers.
Smith is considered the top punter in the country by the National Kicking Rankings and is ranked No. 5 by Kohl’s.
