Clemson Visit Hits Mark With One of Nation’s Top 2022 Pass Rushers

The Tigers are looking to add two defensive ends in the 2022 recruiting cycle and one of the players the coaches have targeted is 4-star DE Jihaad Campbell.

The 6-foot-3, 215-pound edge rusher from Florida just spent multiple days on campus checking out everything the program has to offer and by all accounts the trip was a rousing success.

Spending that much time on campus really gave Campbell a chance to get a feel for the culture inside the program. That, along with how transparent the coaching staff is with potential prospects is something that really resonated.

It was Campbells’ second visit to campus but the first came during the dead period meaning there was no contact with the coaching staff.

Georgia and Texas A&M will both get visits this month and he’s already made a trip to Florida. Campbell is one of three IMG Academy players the Tigers are recruiting hard. The other two are safety Keon Sabb and corner Daylen Everette.

By all appearances the Tigers came out of the visit in very good shape, He was invited to the All-In Cookout in July and if the coaches can get him back on campus then, Clemson will have a very good shot at sealing the deal.

Campbell wants to have a decision made before the start of his senior season.
