The latest MLB 2021 Mock Draft came out Wednesday and this version has Clemson signees Will Taylor and Bubba Chandler going back to back in the first round at number 26 and 27.
Clemson fans and coaches hope that at least one of the Tiger football signees makes it to, and stays, on campus to add depth at a thin quarterback position behind D.J. Uiagalelei.
The depth took another hit with the devastating injury to Taisun Phommachanh during the spring game.
For reference, the 26th and 27th picks in the 2020 MLB draft were slotted $2,653,400 and $2,570,100 respectively, making it potentially difficult for a player selected in that range to turn down a seemingly life-changing pay day.
The 2021 MLB Draft is scheduled to take place between July 11th and 13th and will consist of 20 rounds.
