With another lawsuit being filed on Monday against Deshaun Watson, the Texans’ quarterback is now facing 22 civil suits that accuse the former Clemson star of sexual misconduct.
There was also a criminal complaint filed against Watson last week, the first to be filed to date. It comes from an accuser that isn’t involved in any of the civil suits and is not associated with Houston area attorney Tony Buzbee.
Today the Houston Texans sent out a letter to all of its season ticket holders to address the situation.
“We want to take this opportunity to address the complaint filed with the Houston Police Department and the allegations made in the civil lawsuits filed against Deshaun Watson,” the statement read. “We want to assure you that we take these allegations very seriously. As reported, HPD and the National Football League are conducting investigations and we will cooperate fully. We respect the legal process and will continue to monitor the situation closely.”
