Elite 2022 LB Jalon Walker Chooses Georgia Over Clemson

The Tigers have been beaten out at the last minute once again.

Jalon Walker, the No. 4 OLB in the country committed to Georgia on Saturday. Walker chose the Bulldogs over Clemson, North Carolina and Alabama, but this was a battle between the Tigers and Bulldogs.

Clemson seemingly led most of the way for Walker, with Georgia really turning the tide over the last few days and sealing the deal late. Very similar to how the Ty Simpson recruitment played out, only that time it was Alabama who beat out the Tigers down the stretch.

Walker is a 6-foot-4, 220 pound prospect out of Salisbury, NC. He is ranked as a 4-star and No. 50 overall and No. 2 in North Carolina.

The Tigers have offers out to three other linebackers currently but Walker was the guy Clemson wanted. It will be interesting to see who the coaches target at the position now that Walker is off the board.
