Alex VanSumeren, a four-star defensive tackle that decommitted from Michigan earlier this month, has now picked up an offer from Clemson.
“After an amazing conversation with @CoachToddBates, @CoachVenables, @coachski, @CoachConn, @, CUCoachReed I am blessed to have received a scholarship offer from Clemson University,” VanSumeren tweeted on Thursday evening.
Since decommitting, VanSumeren has started picking up more offers, including ones from Wisconsin, Texas A&M and Oregon.
The 6-foot-3, 285 defensive lineman is ranked No. 223 overall in the 247 Composite and is considered the 16th best DT in the country and 4th best player in the state of Michigan.
Last season he registered 63 tackles, eight sacks, and forced three fumbles.
