Report: Former Head Coach Joining Clemson Staff, Along With Two Former Players

Dabo Swinney is adding to his coaching staff.

Ted Roof, a former head coach at Duke, will reportedly join the Clemson coaching staff as an analyst. Roof spent last season as the defensive coordinator at Vanderbilt.

From 2004-07, Roof was the head coach at Duke. He also served as the defensive coordinator for the Blue Devils from 2001-03 before getting the head coaching job.

Roof was the defensive coordinator at App State in 2019 and was the assistant head coach and defensive coordinator at NC State in 2018. He served as the defensive coordinator at Georgia Tech from 2013-17 and was the DC at Penn State in 2012. He was also the defensive coordinator for the Yellow Jackets from 1999-01.

Former Clemson players Cole Stoudt and Tyrone Crowder are also expected to join the staff in some capacity.
