Whether or not Xavier Thomas will be available for Fridays Sugar Bowl against Ohio State is still unknown.
Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney said on Monday that Thomas missed the ACC Championship against Notre Dame due to safety protocols.
“He was unavailable,” Swinney said. “You know he was in a protocol situation.”
Swinney went onto say that his availability for Friday’s game would not be announced until the team releases its availability report, which comes the day of each game.
“The biggest thing that we’re gonna do is we’re not gonna say anything about anybody until game day,” Swinney said. “And we’ll put out an unavailable list. It’s like we’ve done all year.”
