Both Clemson and Notre Dame have released depth charts ahead of their rematch in the ACC Championship Game this weekend in Charlotte and make no mistake there are some distinct differences for both teams.
The guys that Clemson were without in that first game have been well documented, particularly on defense and it is expected that all those guys will be back, including James Sklaski. On offense, the Tigers will obviously have Trevor Lawrence at quarterback. As well as DJ Uiagalelei played in South Bend, he is still a true freshman and a banged up shoulder kept him from making plays in the running game. Tony Elliott also said the team was optimistic about Frank Ladson Jr being back.
For Notre Dame, they will be without two starting offensive linemen. Center Jarrett Patterson and RG Tommy Kraemer are both out. Those big, experienced guys up front are one of the strengths of this Irish team and missing two of them is a real concern if you’re a Notre Dame fan. Braden Lenzy, who started at one of the outside receiver spots in the last game is also out. Ben Skowronek, who was listed as a backup last game, will start in his place.
