Pro Football Focus: Jordan Williams Highest Graded DT In Country

While freshman Bryan Bresee has been getting most of the hype, and rightfully so, it is one of the older players at defensive tackle that is off to the best start. That’s right, it’s junior Jordan Williams that has graded out not only highest on the Clemson team, but he is the highest graded defensive tackle in the country currently.

In his first two career starts against Wake Forest and The Citadel, Williams graded out at 90.5 according to Pro Football Focus, and that’s good for tops in the country. Williams had three hurries in just 18 pass rush attempts against Wake Forest, and was even better against The Citadel.

Williams is just one of many Tigers on the defensive side of the ball off to hot starts. Bresee’s torrid start, as well as Myles Murphy’s, have been well documented. However, one who has been just as good to start the season is linebacker LaVonta Bentley. The hard-hitting redshirt freshmen has been outstanding through the teams first two games, notching five total tackles in 34 snaps.
