Most fans were already well aware of exactly how loaded Clemson’s 2020 recruiting class was. However, every now and then you run across something that shows just how stacked it was.
According to the 247 Composite, the Tigers signed almost 1/6 of all the five stars in the country in 2020, yet still only had the third ranked class according to 247. But that is a conversation for another day.

Clemson signed five players who were tabbed as five stars in the Composite, more than any other school in the country. It also includes a few more guys you could argue should have been given five star status.
The scary part about all this is the fact that Clemson had already established itself as a national power before signing classes stocked with this kind of talent. They have already been beating the teams that routinely finish ahead of them in the recruiting rankings, and that has to have opposing coaches across the country sleeping a little less some nights.
