Clemson Pitcher Enters Transfer Portal

Clemson pitcher Holt Jones has entered the transfer portal. The 6’8 hard throwing junior had been used primarily as a relief pitcher for Clemson. Over his career he has tossed 54.1 innings, while making four starts.

Last season Jones started the season as one of the go-to guys out of the bullpen for Monte Lee, but as the season progressed, the big right hander’s production started to wane.

In 2020 though, Jones seemed to get lost in the shuffle. He made just three appearances, throwing just 1.1 innings. He only faced five batters, striking out two, but walking the other three.

Over his three seasons in Clemson he was 4-1 with a 3.98 ERA. He struck out 63, while walking 37.
