Clemson has now won five straight ACC Championships, and according to Ceasars Sportsbook in Vegas, are heavy favorites to win a sixth straight in 2020.
The Tigers opened at a massive -600 favorite to win the league, making them the second largest preseason favorite in a P5 conference since 2010. Only last years Clemson team opened as a bigger favorite, at -650.
The sportsbook had Clemson’s season win total at 11.5, the highest in the nation, meaning they are favored to pull off a third consecutive unbeaten regular season.
Clemson has also emerged as the favorites to win the national title. More bets have been placed on the Tigers than any other team according to DraftKings.
For what it’s worth, Jeff Davis of Ceasars notes that while Clemson may be slight favorites to win it all, they would have both Ohio State and Alabama slight favorites if the teams played now.
“We would make both Ohio State and Alabama small favorites over Clemson if they were to play today. Clemson has the shortest odds strictly because of their schedule.”
