Tigers Rock The Blue Hose

Clemson has gotten off to a great start to the 2020 baseball season, and they continued their hot start on Tuesday when the Presbyterian Blue Hose came to town.

It started in the first when the Tigers put five runs on the board and they never looked back. Davis Sharpe had two home runs and five RBI (a career high), to pace a Clemson team that put 12 runs total on the board.

Clemson’s offense has started to come alive since the beginning of the UofSC series and the pitching staff just continues to put this team in positions to win. Both seemed to work almost perfectly today.

Jackson Lindley was great in his first start of the season. He went five innings and gave up 3 hits, no walks, and had 5 strikeouts, while holding the Blue Hose scoreless. The bullpen then continued the shutout the rest of the way.

The Tigers will be back on the diamond tomorrow when Winthrop visits DKS for another 6pm start that will be televised by ACC Network Extra. Winthrop has a solid squad this season, and will be a tough midweek matchup. Look for Keyshawn Askew to get the start.
