Clemson Early Favorite To Win It All In 2020

Now that we’re more than a week removed from LSU winning the national title by handing Clemson its first loss in more than two years, it’s time to start looking ahead towards 2020. Oddsmakers have Clemson as the early favorite to bring home another national title next season, with Ceasar’s giving them 2:1 odds.

With a bevy of talent coming back from a team that fell just one game short in 2019, the Tigers are expected to once again be in the thick of things. With QB Trevor Lawrence and RB Travis Etienne both coming back, that gives Clemson something other contenders don’t have.

The oddmakers also expect Alabama’s absence from the playoff to be a short one, as they give the Tide the second best odds to win it all, at 4:1.

Overall, no big surprises on the list though. It’s the usual cast of characters, however they do have LSU with the third best odds at 9:2, despite the fact their losing a ton from that title team, including Heisman winner Joe Burrow.
