After years of being able to keep their staff together, Clemson football is finally losing one of its assistant coaches to a head coaching job. Zach Lentz over at Clemson Maven/SI reports that South Florida is expected to hold a meeting at 10am on Monday morning to announce the hiring of Jeff Scott to Bulls players and staff, barring some last minute change.
Scott is well known for his recruiting prowess and was a Broyles Award finalist in 2018. 247 named him the ACC’s best recruiter in 2018.
Reports have QB Coach and recruiting coordinator Brandon Streeter moving into the co-offensive coordinator role. We will have to see if offensive analyst Kyle Richardson moves into the role of QB Coach.
Scott is expected to remain with the team throughout the postseason. Good luck to him down there!
***UPDATED
Sounds like it’s going to be graduate assistant Tyler Grisham taking over as WR coach and not Kyle Richardson.
