The 2019 Shrine Bowl participants were announced recently and we have three Tigers that will be making the trip to Tampa. WR Diondre Overton, and OL Sean Pollard and Gage Cervenka have all received and accepted invitations to play in the annual All Star Game according to the events Twitter account.
As most know, the Shrine Bowl is far more than an All Star Game. It is an entire week of players getting to practice and work out in front of scouts from every NFL team. It’s a chance to help improve your stock in the eyes of NFL clubs.
Cervenka is a converted DL who has started all 11 games this season. Pollard has excelled after moving to center and Overton has been a staple coming off the bench to help in the production of the passing game.
The game will take place at Tropicana Field in Tampa on January 18 at 2:30 pm. It will be televised on the NFL Network.
