The last thing Wake Forest needed going into their weekend matchup with unbeaten Clemson was to lose one of its top weapons on offense. Unfortunately, that’s exactly what’s happened.
Wideout Sage Surratt will miss the remainder of the season due to an unspecified injury. Wake Forest head coach Dave Clawson did say he’d need surgery but didn’t give any further details.
Surratt is leading the ACC in receiving yardage, with no one even within 200 yards of him. He’s also leading the conference with 11 receiving TDs.
Losing the redshirt sophomore is a big hit to the Wake Forest offense. The Deacs have been fairly good on that side of the ball this season and Surratt was a big part of the reason.
