Tigers Top AP Preseason Poll For First Time

Clemson is ranked number one in the AP’s preseason poll for the first time in school history. The Tigers garnered 52 first place votes while Alabama got the remaining 10 to come in at number two in the poll.

Georgia, Oklahoma, and Ohio State round out the top five. LSU, Michigan, Florida, Notre Dame and Texas are ranked 6-10, which is identical to the way the Coaches Poll has them ranked 1-10.

The B1G leads all conferences with seven teams ranked in the poll, while the SEC has the second most with six. The ACC has just two.
