Redshirt Sophomore Travis Marr has entered his name in the transfer portal. Marr amassed a 2-0 record in what was an up and down season for the Tigers in 2019. He had an ERA of 6.39 in 31 innings over 18 appearances, one coming in a start against Boston College in the ACC Tournament.

After missing time early in the season injured, the hope was Marr could help the bullpen in middle relief, but it just wasn’t meant to be. Opponents hit .339 against him and far more often than not, he just couldn’t get guys out.

Going into the 2018 season, the coaching staff loved the potential of Marr and thought he’d carve out a spot for himself. For whatever reasons, it just didn’t play out that way.

The 6’3 210 pound RHP came to Clemson from Regis Jesuit High School in Castle Rock, Colorado. In two seasons for the Tigers he was 8-2 with a 6.10 ERA in 41 appearances. Wherever Marr ends up, we wish him well.
