Former Clemson defensive end Shaq Lawson has been released the Jets.
New York picked up Lawson back in the summer in a trade with the Texans, with the Jets sending a sixth-round pick to Houston in return. The former Clemson Tiger recorded 23 tackles, five tackles for loss, one sack, one quarterback hit and one interception.
Lawson was originally selected by the Bills in the first-round of the 2016 NFL Draft. Over his career he has 20 sacks and 34.5 tackles for loss.
