For months Clemson fans have wondered when, or even if, Justyn Ross would be cleared to play this season.

Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney met with the media on Tuesday and told those in attendance that Ross is almost there.

“We’re at the finish line,” Swinney said Tuesday.

Swinney said that Ross is doing very well and is hopeful that his dynamic receiver will be fully cleared in the very near future.

“He’s doing great,” Swinney said. “Hopefully in the next day or so we’ll have the process complete. Any time you have a complicated medical issue like with Mike Williams, you have a lot of I’s and a lot of T’s and a lot of people who have to sign off on those type of things.”

While Swinney would not go into detail about Ross’ final visit back to the surgeon back in June he did say there is nothing the rising senior is not doing now.

“He’s had a great summer,” Swinney said. “There’s nothing he doesn’t do. He does all the lifts, he does all the running everybody does, and everything. All the training. He’s in a good place, and we’re hopeful he’ll get back out there.”
