5-Star Safety Target Announces Commitment Date

UPDATED: Sabb has now announced a commitment date of July 17.

Sabb will choose between Clemson, Georgia, LSU, Michigan, Penn State, and Texas A&M.

For weeks it was assumed that Keon Sabb was on pace to make a summertime commitment.

However, it appears that might not be the case. If that really ever was the plan, Sabb is now planning to possibly take his recruitment well into the fall.

The 5-star safety from IMG was hoping to get back to Clemson for the All In Cookout but a conflict with IMG’s workout schedule will prevent him from making the trip. IMG doesn’t usually allow its players to miss summertime workouts to attend recruiting events.

Sabb has been a longtime Clemson target, with many feeling the Tigers were actually leading for his services. The best case scenario would have been Sabb attending the cookout and making his decision shortly thereafter.

Now it appears that might not be the case and that Sabb plans to possibly take more visits later this fall. However, while it is not the best case scenario, that doesn’t mean the Tigers aren’t still the favorites to land the nation’s top-ranked ATH.

Sabb visited Clemson back in June with a group from IMG, which included Jihaad Campbell, who committed to the Tigers a couple of weeks back.
