2022 Clemson DE Target Set to Announce on Sunday

Clemson’s 2022 recruiting class could be about to grow by one player.

Edge rusher Jihaad Campbell, one of the Tigers top targets in this class, is set to announce a commitment on Sunday at 4 pm.

Campbell was on campus for the Elite Retreat earlier this month and has also taken visits to Rutgers, Oklahoma, Ohio State, Georgia and Florida.

The 6-foot-3, 215-pound prospect out of IMG Academy ranks as a Top-150 overall talent in the 247 Composite and is considered to be the seventh-best edge rusher in the class. He also ranks No. 18 in the state of Florida.

Coming out of the Elite Retreat, many have pegged Campbell as a strong Clemson lean. However, he’s played this thing pretty close to the vest and Florida has been thought to be serious contenders as well.
