Sportsline has already released early Heisman odds for the 2021 season and Clemson quarterback DJ Uiagalelei is cinsidered one of the early favorites. Only Oklahoma QB Spencer Rattler is getting better odds at the moment.

Uiagalelei started two games for the Tigers in 2020 while Trevor Lawrence was out after testing positive for Covid and the freshman did not disappoint. Uiagalelei led Clemson back from an 18-point deficit against Boston College and then went up to South Bend and threw for more yards against Notre Dame than anyone in history. And he did it with a banged up right shoulder.
Clemson looks to be once again be replacing one generational talent at quarterback with another generational talent.
