The eight team field for the 13th annual Cancun Challenge has been finalized. For the first time in its history, Clemson will make an appearance in the tournament scheduled to take place over the week of Thanksgiving.
The Tigers will be a part of the Riviera Division and are set to face SEC foe Mississippi State in the first round on November 24. Clemson is 3-1 all-time against the Bulldogs but lost the last matchup between the two teams in 2018.
Clemson will host Bucknell in a preliminary game in Littlejohn Coliseum on Friday, November 20th. The Tigers are 2-0 all-time against Bucknell.
The other two teams that will play in the tournament on the Riviera side of the bracket are Purdue and East Tennessee State.
This year’s tournament will be played at Eastern Florida State College in Melbourne, Florida. All games featuring teams from the Riviera Division will be televised by CBS Sports Net.
