Latest Odds For The Palmetto Bowl

The unbeaten and third ranked Clemson Tigers have just one game left in the 2019 regular season, the annual rivalry matchup with South Carolina. Over the weekend, some early lines came out for the game with the Tigers being favored by 21.5. Today, Vegas released their opening lines and it is a little bigger as Clemson is a 24.5 point favorite.

The Tigers are looking for their sixth straight win over UofSC and today Gamecock fans got the news that star WR Bryan Edwards will miss the game with a knee injury. That makes an upset bid an even tougher task. Although it does appear former Clemson RB Tavien Feaster will be back after missing their last two games injured himself.

It has been a soap opera like week in Columbia, with all kinds of rumors swirling about concerning the fate of head coach Will Muschamp and his $21M buyout. Most of that drama has been thanks in large part to new school President Robert Caslen and his inability to remain quiet in front of the media. One day he says one thing, the next day he says something completely different. One thing is certain though, it is bound to get even more entertaining as the game draws closer.

The Gamecocks are coming off of a 30-6 loss at Texas A&M and are just a week and a half removed from losing at home 20-15 to Group of Five team App State. Since their big upset over Georgia, they have lost 4 of 5, with their only win coming over lowly Vanderbilt 24-7.

The game is set to take place Saturday Nov 30 at noon in Williams Brice Stadium.
