For the fourth consecutive year, and sixth time in seven years, the media has chosen Duke as the favorite to win the ACC. Following them in the preseason rankings were UNC, Louisville, and Virginia.
Having lost PG Clyde Trapp and PF Jonathon Baehre to ACL injuries, it’s not surprising that the Tigers are picked in the bottom third of the league at number 11. Head coach Brad Brownell will need to rely on some young, inexperienced talent in the upcoming season. However, his team did win the gold medal at the World University Games back in the spring.
