Tigers go 3-0 in Pool Play representing Team USA in World University Games
Team USA beat China 99-70 to go a perfect 3-0 in pool play.
Amir Sims once again led the way for the Tigers, with 19 points and 7 rebounds. Tevin Mack also had a big game, pitching in 16 points.
Curran Scott had 12 points and John Newman II had 11 points and 9 boards, as four Tigers scored in double figures.
Team USA hit 15 3 point shots and finished up shooting 44% percent from beyond the arc. Team USA’s bench outscored China’s bench 55-14.
The United States will play Germany in the quarterfinals on Monday at 11:30 a.m. EST. This will begin the medal round, which includes eight teams, the top two teams from each of the four pools.
